CIF tracks PPCR performance to ensure progress, learning and results in building climate resilience across vulnerable communities. We also tell the stories behind the data – of the impact on people or policies on the ground.

The CIF monitors and reports on the PPCR's contributions to mainstreaming climate resilience in development planning and action. It tracks progress on the integration of climate change into national and sectoral planning, strengthened government capacity and coordination mechanisms, the development and uptake of climate-responsive tools and strategies, and the number of people supported to cope with the effects of climate change.

Multi-stakeholder engagement is central to the development and implementation of PPCR strategic programs for climate resilience. Every year, state and non-state stakeholder groups in PPCR countries come together for a scoring workshop to assess progress on MDB-approved projects. This commitment to inclusivity enriches the process, builds monitoring and reporting capacity, and improves results.

The PPCR portfolio is maturing, with 60 of 62 PPCR projects MDB-approved for implementation participating in this reporting cycle. Targets and achieved results will also increase as more projects begin implementation and mature.

Based on 2018 PPCR Operations and Results Report, which includes results from 60 projects in 16 countries and two regions ($966.2 million in PPCR funding) as of December 31, 2017.
