FIP Pilot Country Meeting - June 24-26, 2015 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo
The sixth meeting of the pilot countries participating in the Forest Investment Program (FIP) took place between June 23rd and 26th in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. The meeting engaged existing FIP countries and those newly added in a thorough orientation workshop which explained the vital elements of the FIP pilot countries. There were also robust updates on national FIP portfolios, in-depth discussions on topics of particular relevance to forests and to the FIP, a working group on FIP monitoring and reporting issues and extensive knowledge exchange between the gathered participants. The meeting was attended by FIP pilot countries, representatives of Multinational Development Banks, local and international civil society groups, the FCPF, UNREDD, the Congo Basin Forest Fund and relevant private sector entities.
