Fisseha Abissa is Operations Officer at Climate Investment Funds whose primary focus is on stakeholder engagement. He has interdisciplinary academic background and a wide range of experience at the local, national, and international level. He has worked in multiple regions and held numerous positions on issues of Stakeholder Engagement, Institutional Partnership, Public-Private Partnership, Private Sector Development, Entrepreneurship, Climate Change and Environment.
Fisseha worked for a private manufacturing company before joining a national environmental regulatory agency in Ethiopia. Subsequently, he was a program coordinator at the United Nations Environment Program Collaborating Centre in Germany in the area of partnership, environment, technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
He has a BSc degree in Chemical Technology and an MSc in Environment and Development from Addis Abba University, Ethiopia. He also studied Entrepreneurship and International Philanthropy (MA) in Bologna, Italy and carried out research in International Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Uppsala University, Sweden. He has a PhD from the University of Twente in the Netherlands on multi-leveled decision structures (Climate Technology and Innovation).
