Operations Analyst (Portfolio Management)

Kosuke Kanematsu joined the CIF in August 2015 and manages and analyzes project information across the four CIF Programs. 

Previously, Kosuke worked on various economic analysis reports (macroeconomic, industry & firm level productivity, and job creation) in the World Bank’s Macroeconomic Department, where he was in charge of macroeconomic monitoring reports for Romania and Bulgaria and co-authored a chapter on firm-level productivity in the “Productivity in Bulgaria: Trends and Options” report.  In addition, Kosuke was responsible for analytical work under the World Bank-IMF Debt Sustainability Framework for Low-Income Countries at Economic Policy and Debt Department (PRMED).  

Before joining the World Bank Group, Kosuke worked for A.T. Kearney, a management consultancy, in Tokyo, where he engaged in and led more than 20 projects on strategy, change management, marketing, operational efficiency, and cost reduction across industries such as financial, IT service, electricity, transport, automobile, and retail.

Kosuke holds a Master’s Degree on Economic Policy Management from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s Degree on International Relations from the University of Tokyo, Japan.
