The first meeting of the pilot countries participating in the Program for Scaling up Renewable Energy in low-income countries (SREP) took place on November 11, 2010, at the World Bank in Washington D.C.

The objective of the SREP Pilot Country meetings was to provide a common space for representatives from pilot countries to share experiences on CIF activities, learn from each other and discuss issues of common interest. The meeting focused on the expectations relating to the SREP, looked at issues such as the role of SREP in the national energy context, the development of investment plans and the preparation of joint missions.
