Open call for experts interested in joining PPCR and SREP rosters
The Climate Investment Funds (CIF) Administrative Unit is establishing a roster of experts to be comprised of internationally-recognized experts interested in undertaking focused independent technical reviews of investment plans and strategies proposed for funding under the Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR) and the Program for Scaling Up Renewable Energy in Low Income Countries (SREP).
The PPCR and SREP are targeted programs under the CIF’s Strategic Climate Fund (SCF). The PPCR is designed to pilot and demonstrate ways to integrate climate risk and resilience into developing countries’ core development planning. SREP aims to demonstrate in a small number of low income countries how to initiate energy sector transformation by helping developing countries take renewable energy solutions to a national programmatic level.
We would like to invite interested experts in the relevant fields to submit an expression of interest to the CIF Administrative Unit. Applications should include a CV/resume and a short expression of interest and may be sent to the CIF Administrative Unit (CIFAdminUnit@worldbank.org). The rosters are to be updated with additional experts periodically or as needed.
A roster of experts will be established for each program. Each roster should include professionals with expertise relevant to the program, including, among other things, a diversity of perspectives and knowledge, and experience in gender issues. Each roster should include experts from both developed and developing countries and should be gender balanced.
For the PPCR roster, experts should have demonstrated experience in developing and implementing adaptation policies and investment projects in developing countries.
For the SREP roster, experience in economics and demonstrated experience in developing and implementing renewable energy polices and investment projects in developing countries is required.
The document Procedures for the Preparation of Independent Technical Reviews of SREP and PPCR Investment Plans, available here, also provides further information on the purpose of the review, the role of the reviewer and other relevant procedures. It contains eligibility requirements for the expert reviewers (Annex B) and the generic terms of reference for the review (Annex C).
We look forward to your submissions.
