- Pilot Program for Climate Resilience: A Platform to Support Medium-Long Term Climate Adaptation through NAPs (Durban, December 2011)
This side event showcased the early but robust lessons emerging from the PPCR as a model for delivery on medium to long-term strategy for adaptation to the impacts of climate variability and change. The event focused on emerging lessons from PPCR scaled-up climate finance support in four countries participating in the PPCR: Bolivia, Mozambique, Niger and Samoa.
A short video highlighting the challenges of long term climate resilience in Nepal and Bangladesh (linked below) was shown as well as perspectives of other countries captured through the eyes of CIF pilot countries (Bolivia, Jamaica, Niger and Tajikistan).
- Investing in Renewable Energy for Development in Africa (Durban, December 2011)
This side event showcased the different renewable energy technologies that have been supported by the CIF and the progress that has been achieved by some African countries in developing and implementing their investment plans and projects. It also provided an opportunity to share experiences and emerging lessons learned among CTF and SREP countries from Africa and other regions.
- Working Together for Climate Action: Contributions by the Multilateral Development Banks (Poznan, December 2008)
The session was presented from 18:30-20:00pm at the Hotel Mercure, Poznan, Poland. The event, opened by UNFCCC Executive Secretary Yvo de Boer, was attended by approximately 100 stakeholders including delegates and civil society.
